Filling your prescription
Typically, your prescription will be filled, mailed and received within 3 business days of receipt by Cornerstone Health Solutions (CHS) Mail Order Pharmacy. In the event that there is a problem with your prescription that may delay mailing, you will be contacted.
Before we fill your prescription, we need to set up your payment information. We offer two convenient ways to pay for your mail order prescriptions; credit card, or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) debit card. The collection of your payment information is a one-time process; however, you will have to contact the pharmacy again if it changes. Allow plenty of time!
Here at the mail order pharmacy we do understand that you are busy. However, we ask that you please allow us time to process your prescription correctly and send it through the mail. Contact the pharmacy the first time you notice you are running low on your medication. Most prescriptions can be filled up to 10 to 14 days before you run out of your current supply. Even if you think it's too soon, request your refill anyway. The pharmacy staff will handle processing and mailing the prescription when it becomes due. If the prescription was authorized by your doctor for 90-day supply, please contact CHS Mail Order pharmacy, 1-844-319-7588, and provide the local pharmacy phone number to CHS Mail Order Pharmacy staff. We will transfer the prescription to CHS Mail Order Pharmacy and fill it for you.
If the prescription was not written for 90-day supply, please ask your doctor/nurse to write a new prescription for 90-day supply and send it to CHS Mail Order Pharmacy.
Note: We will fill 90-day supply if your insurance plan allows.
I am currently using a controlled medication; can I get a 90-day supply mailed?
If you and your physician agree that a 90-day supply of a controlled medication is safe for you, it can be filled and mailed to you from the CHS Mail Order pharmacy if allowed by state law.
Important Note: All mailed controlled medications require an adult signature at the time of delivery.
Will I be contacted if there are delays with the processing my prescription?
Yes; every attempt will be made to contact you when problems arise that prevent us from filling your medication(s) quickly. So, it is extremely important that you have working phone numbers and email addresses on file at the pharmacy.
What is a maintenance medication?
A maintenance medication is one that your doctor has prescribed for you to treat a long-term, chronic condition such as high blood pressure, high blood sugar levels or diabetes, and high cholesterol.
A medication is considered maintenance medication if you have been taking it at the same strength and dose for over 60-days.
Examples: amlodipine, hydrochlorothiazide, carvedilol, lisinopril, metformin, glipizide, insulin, atorvastatin, simvastatin, oral contraceptives, paroxetine, duloxetine.
